How to Root and Install Xposed on your Android One

Amit / / 0

Hello Guys,
Today in this tutorial we are going root and install Xposed on Android One running on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. As you may lost your root access and xposed on your device due to the recent update of Android Marshmallow, so we are here with this method that allows you to root without losing stock recovery and it also works with both locked and unlocked bootloader.

For your safety you must perform a Nandroid Backup

So guys, Let's start the steps :

Step 1 : First of all you have to download some requirements :

After downloading above files copy the boot.img in Minimal ADB and Fastboot and then copy all files in your SD Card. Also rename TWRP Recovery file as twrp.img and Philz Recovery file as Philz.img.

Step 2 :Make Sure that you have ADB drivers installed a your PC. If not, install them from here.

Step 3: After that power off your mobile and get into Bootloader by pressing Vol Up + Power button and select Fastboot and connect it to PC.

Step 4 : Then open Minimal ADB and Fastboot shortcut created on your desktop and check the device connected or not by typing "adb devices" on command prompt.

Step 5: If your device is connected you will get device info like "device     LSXXXXXXXX" and if it doesn't occurs then try a good cable or wait for the new installed adb drivers.

Step 6: After that type the following command to flash kernal  "fastboot flash boot android_one_6.0.1_modified_boot.img" and wait for some time.

Step 7: Type the following for flashing the temporary/one time use recovery   "fastboot boot twrp.img" for TWRP Recovery and for  Philz Recovery, type "fastboot boot philz.img". Doing so, type this for Permanent Custom Recovery "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" for TWRP Recovery and "fastboot flash recovery philz.img" for Philz Recovery.

Note : Use same Recovery file in both temporary and Permanent Custom Recovey. You can use any recovery.img other than TERP and Philz (But TWRP is recommended by me).

Step 8 : Then flash the Zip file and after flashing Reboot your phone.

Congrats, Now your phone is Rooted and Xposed is installed on your Android One.
